Arrival of my Green Vibes Only journal

Image
My Green Vibes Only plant journal arrived in today's mail! Very pleased with it!  While the ordering process on the Barnes and Noble website went less than smoothly, it was sent in a timely fashion, and actually arrived a day before I had been advised to expect it's arrival. Looking forward to journaling in it!

Prosperity Jar

Image
I just made a Prosperity Jar! It's fun, easy, and smells great! What's not to love?? I took a Mason jar, added dried rose petals that I dried myself, fresh herbs (rosemary, spearmint, sage, lavender, and lemon balm from my herb garden, a wedge of fresh lemon, and peppermint, lavender, and sweet orange essential oils.

The Herb Quarterly Magazine has apparently ceased production

Image
It has come to my attention that The Herb Quarterly magazine has apparently ceased production. I realized that the last issue of the magazine that I had received was the Spring 2022 issue, pictured above. I had already paid my subscription thru Spring 2023.  I have sent two emails to the customer service email address printed in that issue, and have received no response, as well as sending an instant message on Facebook Messenger. I have called all three 209 area code phone numbers listed in print in the magazine, and all of them are not in service. Their website also says it is down for maintenance right now, with no indication of when it will be back up. I truly had enjoyed getting the magazine every quarter. It is truly a shame that they didn't feel obligated to tell their subscribers that they were ceasing production. Nor have they offered any refunds for unpublished issues. The least they could have done was be honest.

My Morning at the Public Library

Image
This morning at 11 am, I attended a class at my local library that was part of the summer reading and activities program, Oceans of Possibilities. It was called Under the Sea Bath Essentials. We were given a choice of making either a sugar scrub or a bath bomb. Supplies were included, and we got to take home our finished product. The supplies were donated, and there was no charge for the class.  I chose to make the sugar scrub. It was made with readily available items in my area; actually items that most households would have on hand, so that you might easily learn to make them for yourself in the future.  I made a beautiful and fragrant teal scrub, in keeping with the Oceans of Possibilities theme.  Once I had finished, I looked thru the items at the Summer Book Sale. I purchased 2 music compact discs and 2 paperback books for $1.50.  I am looking forward to 2 other classes that I have signed up to attend later this month!
