Day by Day with Camille

I wanted to share a few pictures from. This morning's Memorial Day Parade, held at 9am here in my hometown of Thomas, NC. Everyone attending was given a miniature flag as a momento. It has been a very rainy weekend, but luckily the rain held off long enough for the parade. Happy Memorial Day! 

I made a bottle of fragrant water using essential oil and herbs. I used distilled water, vodka, rose absolut essential oil, fresh pink rose petals, fresh rosemary, and fresh lemon balm. It smells wonderful and will be refreshing on warm spring and summer days! 

Earlier this afternoon, I made a small quantity of homemade Florida water. I started with a recipe out of a book named "The Scented Room", which is posted above. I did, however, triple the amounts of bergamot, lavender, and clove essential oils that I added. It is wonderful as a body spritzer in warm weather! 

I added Himalayan pink salt, fresh lemon balm, fresh rosemary, a lilac blossom, bergamot essential oil, peppermint essential oil, and lemon essential oil. 

Lex Issue #60 for winter 2023 arrived in my mailbox yesterday! It made my day! I would recommend The Letter Exchange magazine to anyone who is going interested in personal correspondence, and the joy and fine art of letter writing!
